How does the Family REACH program work?
Once a family completes the pre-screening process and is accepted into the Family REACH Alliance program, they begin working toward greater stability and sustainable independence with individualized support from our team. Day Center & Case Management Guest Families use our local Day Center from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The Day Center serves as a central place where families can meet with their Case Manager, search for employment and housing, care for preschool-aged children, shower, do laundry, and address other needs. Our Case Manager works individually with each family to identify barriers, establish goals, connect them with resources, and develop a plan toward stable housing and long-term independence. School-aged children continue attending school, while working adults maintain employment or actively pursue employment opportunities. Transportation Family REACH Alliance provides transportation for Guest Families when needed. Our vans help transport families to and from the Day Center and Host Congregations and assist with moving families' belongings between locations. Transportation support also helps families overcome one of the most common barriers to employment, services, and stability. Host Congregations Our network of Host Congregations provides families with a safe and welcoming place to stay. Congregations rotate hosting responsibilities and provide private or semi-private sleeping accommodations, meals, fellowship, hospitality, and volunteer support. This partnership allows families to focus on the steps necessary to regain stability while being surrounded by a compassionate community. Community Resources & Partnerships Family REACH Alliance works closely with social service agencies, nonprofits, churches, businesses, schools, and other community partners. Families may be referred to Family REACH by partner organizations, and our team connects Guest Families with additional resources based on their individual needs. These partnerships help families access housing, employment, education, benefits, transportation, healthcare, and other services that can support their path toward independence. Building Sustainable Independence Our work goes beyond providing temporary shelter. Families receive guidance and support in areas such as budgeting, financial management, employment, housing, life skills, and other areas that affect long-term stability. The goal is not simply to help a family through a crisis. Through Resources, Education, Advocacy, Compassion, and Hope, Family REACH Alliance helps families build the skills, connections, and stability they need to move forward and maintain their independence after graduating from the program. |

After you have gotten back onto your feet..
Guest families will be housed in an apartment of their own, along with all the supplies needed to start their new life. Beds, pots, pans, and other necessities are donated to the families to ensure a smooth transition into their new home. |
